The St. Louis Blues had a fantastic comeback victory over the Detroit Red Wings, 5-4, in a matinee game on Halloween. It was a tale of trick in the first 30 minutes of the game, and the last 30 minutes were definitely a treat.

A 4-2 lead by Detroit was demolished in the third period, and the Blues rode off into the sunset as winners. Let’s go over a couple of individual winners and, unfortunately, one loser from this game.

Winners:

Justin Barron

Justin Barron is quietly becoming the most successful player on the Blues' blue line. He is showing a lot of offense from the back end, and his defense has been solid.

When Logan Mailloux returns, head coach Jim Montgomery is going to have a tough decision to make. Barron scored a goal and added an assist for another multi-point game.

Jimmy Snuggerud

Watch out for Jimmy Snuggerud. He is flying out there, and the idea of 50 goals for him is not looking like a crazy idea. He scored his eighth goal in this game against Detroit, and after 14 games, he is on pace for 48 goals.

Aleksanteri Kaskimaki

The game-winner was scored by none other than Aleksanteri Kaskimaki. What a way to get your first career goal in the National Hockey League.

Pavel Buchnevich

Back on the scoring log is Pavel Buchnevich. He got the three-goal third period started with his third goal of the season. He has quietly been a stable player, but the production for an $8 million AAV player is still underwhelming.

Dalibor Dvorsky

With a lot of trade rumors circling with the Blues and Red Wings, Dalibor Dvorsky has been in the mix of it. He put on the blinders and decided to take matters into his own hands, scoring his third goal of the season. This has been a tough season for him, but now, it could be the start of a streak.

Loser:

Lack of shots on goal

The Blues are on a two-game win streak, but there is one underlying issue. They have won with under 20 shots on goal in each game.

This is a scary problem to have, even though they are not losing. An offense like this should be capable of hitting those consistent marks of 30+ shots on goal every game. Scoring five goals on 15 shots over Detroit is not going to happen every time.
