The St. Louis Blues had to endure a tough week of games against up-and-coming opponents. Losses against Chicago and San Jose were tough pills to swallow, but a monumental comeback against Columbus ended the week on a high note.

These three players were main components for a good week. It wasn’t a great week, but good.

Honorable mention: Mason McTavish

With three straight games having a point, Mason McTavish has been fantastic this week for the Blues. General Manager Alexander Steen and former GM Doug Armstrong really grabbed a solid pickup this summer in No. 83, as he has shown no negatives in his game.

He is an honorable mention because if not for these three players below, he would certainly find his name on here.

Third star: Joel Hofer

Joel Hofer has established himself as the present and future of the Blues' goaltending. He has been exceptional, regardless of how his record looks.

There is no reason to blame him either, as prior to the game against Columbus, this offense couldn’t “hit the ocean” falling out of a boat. Hofer has been consistent, unlike the Blues offense.

Second Star: Dylan Holloway

These next two names were not supposed to be in this list, but their heroics in the latest game against Columbus catapulted them to the top. Dylan Holloway, who was a part of a dysfunctional first line to start the season, turned it up a notch with three assists against the Blue Jackets.

Those were No. 81’s first points on the season, and could have kickstarted him into gear.

First star: Jimmy Snuggerud

Jimmy Snuggerud completely changed the win over Columbus, and is this team's first star this week. The other two contests showed that he was still a factor on an abysmal first line, though it did not show up on the scoresheet.

No. 21 continues to develop into exactly what fans are expecting. For head coach Jim Montgomery and Steen, there is a sense that they are pleased as well, as they continue to give him the opportunity to succeed with over 17 minutes of ice time every night.

For the rest of this season, and beyond that, Snuggerud has to be this team's best scorer. It is evident that they are struggling to find some rhythm, but the young forward continues to prove himself. Night in and night out, you can count on him to be consistent.
