If there is anything that the St. Louis Blues need to secure this offseason, it is more help down the middle. They thought they had something brewing with Pius Suter and Nick Bjugstad before the 2025-26 season, but Suter was moderate and Bjugstad is now in New Jersey.

This upcoming draft class has a ton of eligible centers that are prime for the taking, and the Blues could have a relatively high-ranked one drop to them at the 11 spot. Viggo Bjorck, who is an 18-year-old playing against the best competition in Sweden in the Swedish Hockey League, could be a great fit.

Profile

Bjorck has played throughout all of the highest levels of competition in Sweden and is now ready to make the jump to the NHL. Whoever lands this kid is going to enjoy the spoils, as he has been regarded as already being very mature for his age.

That maturity could be a great addition to this younger team without a captain to lean on. The Blues need to find players who are willing to be self-starters, as the leadership on this team took two big hits with the trades of Justin Faulk and Brayden Schenn.

Bjorck's best stuff came in the 2026 World Juniors, where he had three goals and six assists for nine points. He was on the penalty kill, a part of the top-six forward group, and was an x-factor on the ice.

Likelihood of coming to the Blues

For the first time in this series of upcoming prospects, Bjorck is the first one that can be easily obtained with their 11th pick. But, he will definately not be there for the Blues' 15th pick.

ESPN had Bjorck being selected by the Blues and it makes complete sense. The Blues need to give some capable backup for Robert Thomas and Dalibor Dvorsky, and Bjorck could grow to be right inbetween them in the top-six.

What they can bring if selected by the Blues

If Bjorck is the Blues pick at No. 11, fans should rejoice that General Manager Doug Armstrong picked the best available player. Who knows how these 10 other teams are going to select in front of the Blues, but just know that the Blues went out and got their guy with Bjorck.

Solid speed and adapting with every level of competition, what more could you want.
