One of the most interesting situations that the St. Louis Blues have to discuss and possibly execute is the future of Jordan Binnington between the pipes. It has become evident that this team now belongs to backup Joel Hofer, and multiple reports have indicated that Binnington will be moved at some point before today's deadline.

Per Analyst Kevin Weekes, the goalie market is going to be significantly open at this deadline as multiple teams are in search of help. This is going to get very interesing today.

Carolina, Vegas, and Montreal are the three biggest buyers for a netminder, with the Canadiens being a direct link to Binnington. Who better to take one of those three teams into a potentially long playoff run than a goaltender who thrives in clutch moments? The Best part is that teams will pay a high price for that.

It has been reported that it is a 60-40 split on Binnington being moved today, and it could come down to the wire. Odds are, even if he is not moved now, the Blues will likely revisit a trade for him in June for next season. The rest of 2025-26, as well as whatever the future holds for this franchise, is in Hofer's hands now.

As Weekes said, the goalie market is intriguing. It is rare that teams that are in solid playoff positions are still looking for a goaltender at this point in the season. No matter what, the future of Binnington in St. Louis is seemingly over.
