It is September, which means that St. Louis Blues hockey is right around the corner. The first announcement for the 2026-27 season has just dropped, and it is going to be a fiery and ferocious couple of days for training camp.

The two days of camp will be free and open to the public, as it will be a nice time to see the many new faces and prospects joining the Blues this season. Some standout players will be seeing Robert Thomas with the "C" on his chest for the first time, as well as seeing if the gel is still there with Dylan Holloway and Jimmy Snuggerud on the first line.
Another key thing to watch will be the younger players and newcomers all over the roster. Maddox Deganais got the invite after being drafted this past June, as did Mason McTavish, Connor McMichael, Ross Johnston, and Brandon Carlo.
The Blues are going to be fighting for roster spots all over the 23-man lineup, and there will surely be some fireworks. Head coach Jim Montgomery has a lot of pressure on him to come up with the best available roster, and over a 48-hour span, he has to push these players to their absolute limits.
After these training camp sessions are complete, we will see a lot of the younger players getting some action in the first preseason game on September 19 against the Dallas Stars. Expect to see a lot of Justin Carbonneau and Adam Jiricek, as they are both the front-runners for a call-up in 2026-27.
