The St. Louis Blues did not have many draft picks last summer after using most of them in trades and the dual offer sheets of Philip Broberg and Dylan Holloway. In the first round, they selected Justin Carbonneau, who's having a solid season in the QMJHL, and in the fifth round, they selected Mikhail Fyodorov, who's a long shot to make the NHL at this point.
With their final draft pick of 2025, the Blues selected goaltender Love Harenstam in the sixth round, or 179th overall. Today, Team Sweden announced their roster for the World Juniors, and the Blues' young netminder made the cut.

Harenstam will be one of three goalies on Team Sweden, the others being Dallas Stars prospect Mans Goos and over-ager Herman Liv. So far this season, Harenstam has spent most of his time as the starter with Sodertalje SK in the Swedish Allsvenskan league, which is a step below the SHL. In 16 games, Harenstam has a .913 save percentage, 2.13 goals against average, and has pitched one shutout; that's not bad, but his 5-11-0 record isn't so great.
At a glance, Liv is likely to be the starter for Sweden given his age and slightly better statistics in the Allsvenskan--but there's certainly room for Harenstam to take over the net. In these sorts of tournaments, and depending on the matchups, there may even be a sort of goaltender rotation. If Harenstam's able to outplay Liv and Goos, he could be the starter when Sweden goes on a run.
One thing's for certain, though: Sweden wins the gold medal for goalie names.
