Before the St. Louis Blues take on the Detroit Red Wings tonight, it has been announced that forward Jake Neighbours will be placed on injured reserve and re-evaluated in five weeks. This comes after he, alongside Robert Thomas, was sidelined for the 6-3 loss against Pittsburgh on Monday.

This is a major blow for a team that is battling a four-game losing streak. With six goals and an assist this season, Neighbours has been a pleasent surprise to start the year.
Now, the Blues are going to have to find consistent offense elsewhere, and hope that this injury only lasts the five weeks.
