The St. Louis Blues have gotten into a bit of a rut over their last two games. It is time to lock it in, against a team that should be considered beatable: the Anaheim Ducks. Even still, this game should not be taken lightly, as the Blues have been known to do this from time to time.

The Blues, at 19-19-4 for 42 points, remain a .500 team at the start of the second half of the season. The Ducks, who are hanging right around the same place as the Blues, have a record of 17-18-5 for 39 points.

Let's preview it.

The return of Cam Fowler against Anaheim

This will be an emotional night for the Ducks, their fans, and Blues defenseman Cam Fowler. It is the first time since the recent trade that Fowler will be back on the Ducks broadcast in front of the people who cheered him on for a decade and a half.

Fowler has been sensational since coming over 12 games ago, as he has scored four goals and added five assists in that time. He slipped right into the lineup with ease, and it seemingly looks like the Blues won this trade handedly.

Can the Blues figure it out?

This game is going to come down to the Blues figuring it out. Their offense is great at the moment, with back-to-back games scoring four goals. But, they did not win those games, as goaltending has fallen off the wagon, by both Jordan Binnington and Joel Hofer.

The Ducks are not a high-scoring team, as they have the third-least amount of goals scored on the season with just 103. So if there is ever a game to get the last line of defense back on track, this is it.

Against Anaheim, the puck drop will be at 7:00 PM CT.
