The St. Louis Blues could not get past the home-ice struggling New York Rangers, losing 3-2. After jumping to a 1-0 lead, the Rangers rallied back and gave the Blues no chance at victory.

- Barry Trotz, General Manager of the Nashville Predators, put his team on blast following their lackluster start to the season. Scraping the bottom of the NHL standings, the Preds are frontrunners for the Gavin McKenna sweepstakes, and things are not getting any better. Trotz spoke to the Tennessean, demanding more out of his players. “I need more [expletive] from them," Trotz said.
