The St. Louis Blues could not get past the home-ice struggling New York Rangers, losing 3-2. After jumping to a 1-0 lead, the Rangers rallied back and gave the Blues no chance at victory.

Let's take a look at what's going on around the Blues, as well as a round-up of the NHL.

Blues News

  • The Blues lost to the Rangers 3-2, but one of the main takeaways from the night is that this team has a unique situation. When Dylan Holloway scored his sixth goal of the season, he joined four other teammates for the team lead at six goals. There truly is not a pure-bred goal scorer, but a plethora of good ones.
  • Philip Broberg continues to shine brightly, as he is truly putting some strain on General Manager Doug Armstrong's summer plans. Before the hands the keys over to Alexander Steen, the current GM has to pony up and keep No. 6 in the Blue Note, long-term.

NHL News

  • Barry Trotz, General Manager of the Nashville Predators, put his team on blast following their lackluster start to the season. Scraping the bottom of the NHL standings, the Preds are frontrunners for the Gavin McKenna sweepstakes, and things are not getting any better. Trotz spoke to the Tennessean, demanding more out of his players. “I need more [expletive] from them," Trotz said.
