This has been a long time coming, and the rumors can finally be put to rest. Alexandre Texier and the ongoing speculations of his future with the St. Louis Blues have been put to rest. Today, the franchise officially announced that it will be parting ways with Texier, terminating his contract.
Texier, who was on the roster's salary table for $2.1 million over the next two seasons, will now become a free agent. There has been heavy speculation as to where he will end up, with Elliotte Friedman reporting on Montreal being the frontrunner. A reunion with former Blues star Zack Bolduc could be in order.
Alexandre Texier is a UFA after clearing waivers. We will see where things go...but all eyes are on the Montreal Canadiens

The now former Blue spent a season and a bit with the team, appearing in 39 games. Texier scored six goals and added six assists for 12 points. Unfortunately, things did not work out with the Blues, and he will get an opportunity to prove his worth on a team that may have room for him.
