WIth just under 24 hours to go before the Trade Deadline, the St. Louis Blues suffer a devastating blow. They will lose their star defenseman, Colton Parayko, for the duration of the season.

Six weeks from now will be the very end of the regular season, and Parayko will be re-evaluated at that time. As the Blues ended last night's game, Parayko seemed to have suffered the injury in the waining seconds of the overtime period when he awkwardly fell while back-peddling on defense.

This certainly changes things in terms of the current trajectory of this team. With the win last night over the Los Angeles Kings, they now have a record of 30-27-6 for 66 points. They are just one point behind both the Vancouver Canucks and Calgary Flames for the last wildcard spot in the Western Conference.
Do they now become sellers, when before Parayko's unfortunate injury, they might have been buyers? Will this injury to Parayko sink this season?
So much uncertainty, and the Blues front office is running out of time to make a decision. What a devastating blow.
