After Jordan Binnington and Colton Parayko were named to compete in the 2026 Olympics for Team Canada, it did not end there for Blues representatives. Earlier today, defenseman Philip Broberg was announced to participate in the best-on-best tournament for Team Sweden.

Broberg has been one of the very little highlights for the Blues defensive core, going as far as being the best player on the blue line. He has played the most minutes, and has been relied on heavily this season.

Appearing in all 41 games this season, with game 42 on the way later today against Vegas, the 24-year-old defenseman has two goals and 11 assists. The eye test reveals his impressive speed and fluidity with the puck up the ice. He has shown time and time again that he is very dependable and well worth the nomination to represent his country.

This now makes three Blues representatives for the upcoming games, for a team that is scrapping the barrel of the Central Division. Best of luck to our representatives, and let the best country win.
