Aside from the news of Robert Thomas slotting back into the lineup and the confusion that brings with the Trade Deadline looming, another piece of news hit the St. Louis Blues' news feed. Forward Robbi Fabbri, who came back to the Blues on December 10, 2025, after being traded from the team in 2019-20, is being designated non-roster with the means for waiving.

Fabbri appeared in 15 games for the Blues this season and registered a goal and three assists for four points. He was still as tough, rough, and aggressive as we all remembered from his first stint with this team.

This move opens up a little bit of Salary Cap space, as well as opening up the lineup for some younger talent to make their way into the NHL-fold. There are still 23 games left to play, so some eligible prospects cannot make their way onto the Blues roster just yet, as they are only allowed to play nine games to slide their Entry-Level contracts another year.

The Blues are going to be making a lot of moves over the next week or so, as this Trade Deadline will set up this team's future. General Manager Doug Armstrong is trying to secure his legacy with the remaining time he has left as the "boss", and before he hands all of this over to Alexander Steen.

Fabbri should be a nice pick-up for a contending team, as he fits the definition of a playoff player. It is a shame it did not work out this season with the Blues, as the underwhelming season continues.
