The St. Louis Blues were able to bounce back and beat their most heated rivals, the Chicago Blackhawks, 3-2. It was a much-needed win, and it took the entire team to get it done.
Since his re-debut as a Blue, Robby Fabbri has gone from being without a contract with an NHL team through the first two months of the 2025-26 season to being an x-factor in just two games. Let's take a look at what the new No. 9 has done right, including the hit of the season.
Fabbri has done his part
In the two games since his arrival back with the Blue Note, Fabbri has been all over the ice and a much-needed forward with the missing core on the injured list. In two games, he has two assists for two points, with two shots on goal.
Fabbri also has four minutes spent in the box in the two games, but that is what you get when you try to play the type of game that he does. This team is missing both Nathan Walker and Alexey Torophchenko, who are both the biggest grinders on this team. Someone had to step up, and Fabbri has played the part well.
It still might be early, but General Manager Doug Armstrong deserves his flowers for bringing Fabbri back to the 'Lou.
Laying the boom
This season has featured some pretty nice hits and fights from the Blues. But the hit that Fabbri had on Chicago Blackhawks forward Teuvo Teravainen has a good chance at being the hit of the year.

The Blues are still only two points behind the San Jose Sharks for the second wild card spot, meaning that this season is far from over. Once the injured stars like Jimmy Snuggerud and Jordan Kyrou, as well as Nick Bjugstad and the aforementioned Walker and Toropchenko, come back, coupled with the immediate x-factor Fabbri, the Blues might be able to make a solid run at the playoffs.
There is no denying that Fabbri has been all that and a bag of chips since coming back, and he is trying to impress the front office for a longer stay than the end of this season.
