Transactions
The Blues have moved several prospects between the NHL and AHL over the past week. Defenseman Theo Lindstein was assigned to the Springfield Thunderbirds on Oct. 23rd after four NHL games, producing one assist, and was a frequent healthy scratch, with Justin Barron seeing the majority of the starts. Forward Dylan Peterson was sent to Springfield as well following three games, including his NHL debut.
With these moves, forwards Aleksenatari Kaskimaki, Otto Stenberg, and defenseman Quinton Burns were recalled by the Blues with Kaskimaki and Stenberg dressing in two games and each getting one point.
Additionally, forward prospect Zach Dean was placed on waivers, but went unclaimed and was reassigned to the Thunderbirds where he has slot in as one of their top-six centers.
AHL
Simon Robertsson (RW)
Week: 2 GP, 1G, 2A, 3P, +3
Season: 5 GP, 1G, 2A, 3P
The 23-year-old grabbed all three points of the season over this past week, scoring across two road games against Charlotte. The 2021 third-round pick has continued to build on limited ice time with Springfield, looking to finally find his offensive stride in North America.
Michael Buchinger (D)
Week: 2 GP, 1G, 1A, 2P, +3
Season: 6 GP, 2G, 1A, 3P
Scoring his second goal of the season, Buchinger lit the lamp once and added an assist against the Checkers. The 2022 third-round pick has shown offensive flashes from the blue line but has remained inconsistent on the offensive side of his game that made him once so dangerous at the junior level.
Theo Lindstein (D)
Week: 2 GP, 1G, 1A, 2P, +1
Season: 2 GP, 1G, 1A, 2P (AHL); 4 GP, 0G, 1A, 1P (NHL)
Lindstein scored a goal and an assist in his first two games back with Springfield after the reassignment from the Blues. As one of the Blues' top prospect defensemen, he will be expected to receive plenty of heavy assignments in the AHL to continue his development after limited NHL action so far this season.
Dylan Peterson (RW)
Week: 2 GP, 1G, 0A, 1P, +1
Season: 5 GP, 1G, 0A, 1P (AHL); 3 GP, 0G, 0A, 0P (NHL)
Peterson scored his first goal of the season in the 2-1 victory over Charlotte on Saturday after making his NHL debut just a week prior. Peterson should continue to earn top-six minutes in Springfield and bring size and physicality to the lineup as the moment calls for.
Will Cranley (G)
Week: 1 GP, 1.00 GAA, .929 SV%
Season: 4 GP, 1.22 GAA, .957 SV%, 1 SO
It might be early, but keep an eye on Cranley. He has been stellar in his four regular season appearances and could warrant a few extra starts if he can keep up this kind of performance over as the year moves along.
KHL
Dmitri Buchelnikov (RW)
Week: 3 GP, 2G, 0A, 2P, -2
Season: 19 GP, 7G, 2A, 9P
Buchelknikov scored twice in three games this past week (including one against fellow prospect Matvei Korotky). The 2022 second-round pick continues to fill the net as he is on pace for a career-high 25 goals over 68 regular season games in the KHL.
Matvei Korotky (C)
Week: 3 GP, 0G, 3A, 3P, -1
Season: 17 GP, 4G, 9A, 13P
Korotky grabbed three assists over the past week for SKA St. Petersburg, including two assists in a 6-3 win over Sibir Novosibirsk. His hot start to the season has him ranked third among all U21 skaters in the KHL.
OHL
Colin Fitzgerald (C)
Week: 3 GP, 2G, 1A, 3P, +1
Season: 14 GP, 7G, 7A, 14P
Fitzgerald scored twice and added an assist across three games this past week, including a two point night in a 5-4 overtime win on Thursday against the Windsor Spitfires. The 2026 seventh round pick continues a strong start to his 2026-27 campaign after moving to the Soo's top line.
QMJHL
Maddox Dagenais (LW/RW)
Week: 3 GP, 1G, 1A, 2P, 0
Season: 11 GP, 6G, 4A, 10P
Dagenais scored and grabbed an assist over a three-game road trip with the Remparts. The Blues' 2026 first-round pick (16th overall) is building a very respectable campaign on pace for a career-high 34 goals and 57 points. The trick for him will be consistency.
NCAA
Tynan Lawrence (C)
Week: 2 GP, 1G, 1A, 2P, -2
Season: 6 GP, 4G, 3A, 7P
Lawrence potted his fourth goal of the season and his second multi-point game of his 2026-27 rookie season. The Blues' 2026 11th overall selection is fitting in nicely with Boston University leading his team in goals and points after a bumpy start after a mid-season transfer to the NCAA in 2025-26.
Across the world
Love Härenstam (G) — HockeyAllsvenskan
Week: 1 GP, 1.00 GAA, .000 SV%
Season: 11 GP, 2.19 GAA, .915 SV%, 2 SO
Härenstam currently holds HockeyAllsvenskan's sixth-best save percentage and appears to be on the path to repeating his 2025-26 success after finishing with a 1.80 GAA and .920 SV% over 32 games.
Lars Steiner (RW) — NL
Week: 3 GP, 0G, 1A, 1P, +1
Season: 16 GP, 1G, 3A, 4P
Ice time has been difficult to come by for the 18-year-old, but the results and process have continued to develop. After an explosive 2025-26 campaign in the QMJHL, scoring 30 goals and 55 points in 44 games, Steiner returned to the NL and is playing among men. To date, he is the third-most productive point U19 point producer in the league
