The St. Louis Blues were unable to secure a second point against the Toronto Maple Leafs, losing 3-2. Postgame, there were some comments made that should resonate with Blues fans everywhere.

Cam Fowler, who has not had the same kind of impact as he did when he came over from Anaheim in the middle of last season, spoke to the media following the game. He expressed exactly what this team needs,

"At the end of the day, we gotta find a way to start putting some wins in the win column here," Fowler said. "No matter what it takes, or how we have to do it, it's a results-based game and we have to figure out a way to start stacking some wins here."

This team has to get it together, now

There is no more time to wait, no more excuses to be made. For this Blues team, this road trip is now considered a make-or-break moment of this season. Can this team get it together now?

Fowler is among the many who wear the Blue Note who have not been pulling their weight. Without a goal to his name, much like his d-partner to start the season Colton Parayko, Fowler has nine assists to his credit through 20 games. Not too shabby, but if you go further down the line, he is among six(!) Blues players that are -10 or worse this season.

Of those six, it is Logan Mailloux, who we all know has not been able to muster much of anything in his debut season with the Blues, and then Fowler as the only two blue-liners. Fowler was a godsend last season, scoring nine goals and 26 assists for 37 points in 51 games. Not to mention his impeccable impact on the first-round playoff series against Winnipeg, contributing two goals and eight assists for 10 points in the seven-game series.

It has not been the same for Fowler, and the Blues are impacted by his lack of success this season. The Blues have not been the same team as they were a year ago, and time is starting to run out. Near the bottom of the Central Division, and the fact that Colorado is running away with the Division lead is not helping the Blues' playoff case. They have to start getting some wins, and not just points from forcing overtime. .
