St. Louis Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington won gold for Team Canada at the 4 Nations Face-Off Tournament back in February. He's getting another chance to represent his country at the 2025 IIHF World Championship as well.

Shortly after being eliminated in the playoffs, Binnington and Blues captain Brayden Schenn joined Team Canada for the World Championship. Binnington was given a few days to reset before getting back in the crease.

But Binnington didn't miss a beat during that time.

Earlier this week, Binnington made his Team Canada debut at the World Championship, stopping all 15 shots he faced from Team France in a 5-0 shutout win. Fellow Blues teammate Alexandre Texier played 17:35 in that one but didn't register a shot against Binnington.

Binnington saw his second game of the World Championship on Saturday against Team Slovakia. He once again posted a shutout with Blues teammate Dalibor Dvorsky on the other side.

The Blues netminder has now stopped all 29 shots he's faced through two starts for Team Canada at the World Championship. Sure, it's not the best of competition against France and Slovakia, but don't tell that to Finland, who allowed three goals to France, or Slovenia, who lost 3-2 to Slovakia.

Seeing Blues players play at the highest level is always exciting, and Binnington throwing up another shutout at the World Championship is no different, no matter the opposition.

Team Canada remains undefeated through five games with a goal differential of 28-2. After a game against Finland on Monday, Canada plays the undefeated Team Sweden on Tuesday, with the host country posting a 25-3 goal differential through six games.
