Have any St. Louis Blues players won the Norris Trophy?

The St. Louis Blues players owned the Norris Trophy two years in a row, proving they're defensive powerhouses.

St. Louis Blues Norris Trophy Winners

2000-Chris Pronger
1999-Al MacInnis

Chris Pronger

Chris Pronger played most of his career in St. Louis, although he started off as a Hartford Whaler and finished his NHL journey with the Philadelphia Flyers.

Pronger's performance in 2000, with 62 points in 79 games, led to him winning the award.

He had a +52 plus-minus and recorded 48 assists, the most in his career.

Al MacInnis

Al MacInnis won the award the year before. MacInnis started his career with the Calgary Flames and finished with the St. Louis Blues.

MacInnis' performance in 1999 mirrored Pronger's 2000 season, as he tallied 62 points, including 20 goals and 42 assists.

Despite his impressive performance in 1999, it wasn't his personal best. He recorded 103 points in Calgary in 1991 and had several seasons with 70 or more points.

So there you have it. Two St. Louis Blues defensemen have been honored with the esteemed award for the league's best defenseman. As we look to the future, Blues fans can only hope the prized award is given to a future player, a possibility that we can all look forward to. Should we keep our eyes on Theo Lindstein? Time will tell.
