The Prospects Showcase is always the best way to kick off the NHL season, and the St. Louis Blues will find themselves playing in two games over a three-day period. So, if you can’t wait for hockey to start but you’d like to learn a little more about who the Blues prospects are and how they perform against players at their own level, this is something you’ll want to check out.
The Blues will kick off their 2024-25 season at the Centene Community Ice Center, meaning they’ll be hosting the showcase that will include three teams. So, who are they playing this season, and when can you catch them in action?
St. Louis Blues will face a pair of division rivals in the Prospect Showcase
- September 13th, 7 PM vs. Blackhawks

Note, that there will also be practices going on as well, so even if you can’t make the games, definitely stop by in the morning to catch the prospects going through some drills. You can catch every Blues practice at the NHL rink over the three-day period, which will occur at 10:30 AM on September 13th and 14th and at 9:30 AM on September 15th.
Notable prospects attending the event include Zack Bolduc, Zach Dean, Dalibor Dvorsky, Adam Jecho, Lukas Fischer, Will McIsaac, and Vadim Zherenko. That list includes a pair of intriguing pieces in Bolduc and Dean, both of whom should be raring for a full-time spot in Gateway City this season.
Many eyes will also be on Dalibor Dvorsky, as he could also play well enough to sneak his way into the Blues lineup if he enjoys a good showcase and preseason. Jecho and Fischer will also be interesting to watch, especially as they face one of the better prospect pools in the league that the Blackhawks have built.
Overall, it won’t be long until the wait following the Blues 2023-24 season finale before your team finally takes the ice again.
