The St. Louis Blues have not had a 40+ goal scorer since Vladimir Tarasenko had 40 goals in 2015-16. It's hard to believe it was a decade ago, and it's even more shocking.

For the 2025-26 season, there is a solid chance that they will return to the playoff picture. With that said, there is also a great chance that a player can break that 40+ goal-scoring drought.

Put down these three players as solid candidates to do it.

Jordan Kyrou

Of all the players listed in this article, there is one player who is a near guarantee. Jordan Kyrou is a solid choice, as he nearly broke that 40+ goal plateau last season.

He hit a new career high last season with 36 goals and was getting hot at the end of the regular season. In the final 16 games, Kyrou lit the lamp 12 times, helping push the Blues into the playoffs. If he had hit that stride earlier, there is a good chance he could have pushed himself over 40 goals.

Kyrou has ascended into superstardom, and there is no slowing him down. It should not be a surprise if he blows past the 40-goal mark and into the 50-goal territory.

Jimmy Snuggerud

This is a shot in the dark, but a good one. Jimmy Snuggerud burst onto the scene at the end of this past season and made the most of the opportunity. He did so well that he earned head coach Jim Montgomery's trust to play in the first-round matchup with Winnipeg.

Snuggerud is a highly talented winger with a wicked wrist shot and is capable of being creative with the puck on his stick. It is a shrewd bet that he will reach the 40+ goal marker in his career. It might not happen next season, but eventually, he will get there.

Dylan Holloway

It's another shot in the dark, but a little more likely in 2025-26 than Snuggerud. Dylan Holloway was one of the players whom General Manager Doug Armstrong used an offer sheet on, and he was well worth the investment. He hit a career-high in goals with 26 last season, and he can use this offseason and another round of training camp to improve.

Holloway has a remarkable ability to score goals at will, with blazing speed. Look out for him next season to set new career highs.
