The St. Louis Blues did not have anyone in close contention for any NHL awards following this lackluster 2025-26 campaign. Rightfully so, this team did not deserve that kind of reward for such a failure of a season.

But there was one small award handed out on Friday that was well deserved. The NHL announced its All-Rookie team, and it is obvious who ended up among the top-three forwards.

Jimmy Snuggerud became the ninth member of the Blues to earn this honor. Let's see the votes.

136 Votes

The All-Rookie team consists of Calder Trophy winner, defenseman Matthew Schaefer from the New York Islanders. Alongside him on the blueline is Alexander Nikishin from the Carolina Hurricanes. The forward group consists of Snuggerud, alongside Ivan Demidov of Montreal and Beckett Sennecke of Anaheim.

Snuggerud had 136 votes for him to be among the top-three forwards, and the recognition in his rookie season speaks volumes about his career trajectory. He is already prepped to become the next face of this franchise, and now, with this honor under his belt, there is some validity to it.

Ninth Blue ever

The last Blues player to be placed on this exciting list of future superstars was Jordan Binnington in 2018-19, and before that, it was Colton Parayko in 2015-16. Snuggerud is the ninth ever to be named as a Blue.

To say that the future is bright for this kid is an understatement. Snuggerud has already earned head coach Jim Montgomery's trust to get pivotal first-line minutes, and expects that to continue in 2026-27.
