The Blues could have not only one, but two, 100+ point scorers in 2025-26

It has been a long time since the last time the St. Louis Blues were graced with a player capable of eclipsing the 100-point mark. The last time it happened was back in 1993-94 when Brendan Shanahan did it with 102 points.

Recently, only Robert Thomas has been able to get anywhere close to that mark in 2023-24 with 86 points. It was a valiant effort, but close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

As the 2025-26 season is destined to be a successful one, there is reason to believe that there could be not only one player knocking on the door of that alluded point threshold, but two. Thomas is obviously one of them, but who else could join him?

Jordan Kyrou silences the critics

The way that Jordan Kyrou and his current contract status have been handled this offseason has been a weird one. It is almost like General Manager Doug Armstrong is either trolling the NHL or even Kyrou, by still shopping his name around after his No-Trade Clause has kicked in. The vibe around this situation is that it seems like they are trying to poke the bear, and that can only push this situation in two directions.

Either Kyrou wants to get out of St. Louis, as it seems like he is unwanted and underappreciated, or he silences his critics and haters by joining Thomas as a 100-point getter. He has been trailing Thomas in point totals the past four seasons, averaging 71.3 points per season. His career-high is set at 75, which he set in 2021-22 at 23-years-old. Now entering his prime, and the arrival of Pius Suter as his centerman on the second line, there is a chance that it could help him immensely.

Let us also not forget that Kyrou will have Thomas on the powerplay all season long, with Jimmy Snuggerud also being on the other wing from him. That trio will be a problem with each extra-man chance, and expect both Kyrou and Thomas to get a ton of points from that.

Thomas has a career-year

With Snuggerud and Pavel Buchnevich as his wingers, and the potential of having Kyrou move up to his right side at some point next season, Thomas is going to have a career-year in 2025-26. This will be the year that he breaks the mold and crushes that point milestone, and threatens the single-season point record set by Brett Hull in 1990-91 with 131 points.

Obviously, Thomas is not going to get a ton of points from goals, but he has two elite goal scorers on his wings, and Kyrou is going to be a heavy favorite to hit 50+ goals next season. The points are going to fly in for both of these forwards.
