After losing out on a couple of different free agents in the first day of the free agent frenzy, the St. Louis Blues might have finally landed their guy.

Welcome to St. Louis, Pius Suter.

Suter, 29-years-old, is a five-year veteran. Last season with the Vancouver Canucks, he had a career year with 25 goals and 21 assists for 46 points. Landing him at just $4.125 million AAV is a steal for their second-line/third-line center position.

Missing out on Mikael Granlund might have been a blessing in disguise as the Blues just could not afford an extra near $3 million a year for that spot. This gives some wiggle room for the rest of the season, barring any need for help at the trade deadline for the playoff push.
