The St. Louis Blues and Winnipeg Jets are deadlocked at 2-2 in their first-round matchup. This series has been exciting, with an emphasis on high-scoring games and an assertion of dominance from both teams in the physicality department. Three things came out of game four's end result, and it will evidently end up in the Blues' favor.

This series is going to go seven games

This series is too good to end in anything other than game seven. These two teams will beat the brakes off each other to the maximum amount of games it will take to declare a winner. Whoever walks away will be limping into their second-round match-up.

The home teams have enjoyed the spoils of victory through the first four games of this series, with the last two at the Enterprise Center granting the Blues superpowers. The Jets will host games five and seven, with the Blues hosting game six. It is a best two-out-of-three scenario.

The Blues must win on the road

The cards are not in the Blues' favor if this series goes to seven games, with the Jets hosting the potential final game. Those superpowers will have to be placed in a bottle and distributed to every member of the Blues roster and training staff like Michael Jordan's "special stuff" from Space Jam.

Comparing the two homestands, the Jets' home games were a lot closer in score than the ones stateside. There is a potential that the Blues might actually be better than the Presidents' Trophy winners in the most crucial part of the season.

Jordan Binnington will once again get the last laugh in this Goalie rivalry

This is the third meaningful set of games between these two goaltenders, both in the NHL and representing their country. Jordan Binnington of St. Louis and Connor Hellebuyck of Winnipeg have met once before in the 2019 first-round series, where the Blues won in six games, 4-2. Then, just this season in the 4 Nations Face-off, Binnington led Team Canada to winning the whole thing against Hellebuyck in the championship game.

As things are trending right now, with Hellebuyck being chased in both renditions of games three and four, Binnington is outlasting and outplaying the goaltender who will likely win the Vezina Trophy this season. Once again, Binnington could, and should, get the last laugh against his rival.
