The St. Louis Blues may have found themselves a three-headed monster, and at their ages, they could be a problem for years to come. Pavel Buchnevich, Jordan Kyrou, and Robert Thomas have turned this season around, and there is no sign of slowing them down. These top-six forwards have been dynamite, but what else can this trio bring to the future of this organization?

Top Point Getters

This trio contains three of the top-four point-getters on this team. Kyrou leads the team in points with 16 goals and 16 assists for 32 points and is followed by Thomas with eight goals and 21 assists for 29 points. Between Thomas and Buchnevich, who has nine goals and 15 assists on the year, is Dylan Holloway, who would be considered an honorable mention to call this trio a core four.

Each of these guys is under the age of 30, and all three have plenty of time left on their current contracts with the Blues. This gives the franchise mobility to create a sustainable roster around them. Which, up to this point, has worked out for them. The only thing getting in the way of this hockey team being an above-average .500 team is themselves not being able to remain consistent.

Room to Build

These three are on relatively cap-friendly deals, none of which are going to expire until the 2028-29 season. This trio is all hovering around the $8 million AAV each. In retrospect to the rest of the NHL, there is a least one, if not two, member of the top-six forwards that is over the $10 million threshold.

That healthy cap hit leaves a ton of room for the rest of the forward lines to build. If they ever find themselves in a position to be buyers at the trade deadline, to get a key piece for a playoff run or two, they don't have to worry about making financial room for that player.

This trio will be beneficial for years to come, and they are just getting started.
