From heated rivalries, opportunities for revenge, and renewed resolve, the St. Louis Blues will enter the 2025-26 season playing high-stakes hockey. Fans will want to be in the Enterprise Center for puck drop on these dates.

Embarrassing Memory

The Enterprise Center will already be packed with intense energy and anticipation, but with the memory of last year's opening night, the stakes are even higher. On October 15th, 2024, the Blues hosted the Minnesota Wild for opening night, and Minnesota not only won 4–1, but goaltender Filip Gustavsson embarrassed the Blues by scoring an empty-net goal, sealing the win. With the offseason additions and the late-season success last year, the Blues’ expectations have grown. The Blues will surely look to energize the building and meet fans' expectations as they open their doors once again to the Wild on Thursday, October 9th, 2025.

Fireworks Between Rivals

On Wednesday, October 15th, 2025, the Blues will host their longtime rivals, the Chicago Blackhawks.  New Year's Eve 2024 was a memorable night for both teams, as they watched the fireworks and flyover show from Wrigley Field. The 2024 Winter Classic wouldn’t stop the Blues from creating fireworks of their own, as they flew past the Hawks in a victorious 6–2 win. Although the two teams won’t be playing in the Winter Classic this year, their storied rivalry continues to set the stage, making every matchup that much more valuable.

Earned Win

On Thursday, October 23, 2025, the Blues will face off against the newly named Utah Mammoth. The Mammoth may be one of the team's most underrated rivals. Last season, the Blues tied the series 2 – 2. When completing his offseason report card, Harman Dayal from The Athletic noted that Utah deserves an A- after adding J.J. Peterka, Brandon Tanev, Nate Schmidt, and Vitek Vanecek. With these acquisitions, newfound support of the Utah fanbase, and a growing prospect pool, the Mammoth are a team that will be fighting for every inch to earn a playoff spot, and it’s up to the Blues to stop them.

Harsh Emotions

Nazim Kadri has undoubtedly made a name for himself in St. Louis after he plowed into goaltender Jordan Binnington during Round 2 of the 2022 playoffs, which ended the goaltender's season. When in St. Louis, Kadri is welcomed by boos and disgust. This is just one narrative that will unfold on Tuesday, November 11th, 2025, as the Blues host the Pacific Division Calgary Flames, who finished last season with 96 points, just like the Blues did. The teams are in a similar position, retooling while maintaining competitiveness. This is a must-win for both teams.

The Best of the West

On Saturday, November 15th, the Blues take on the Vegas Golden Knights at the Enterprise Center. With the addition of Mitch Marner and the departure of Alex Pietrangelo, every fan is eager to see how the Blues match up against the powerhouse Golden Knights. Last season, the Knights won two of three games, with one ending in a two-goal difference, another in a one-goal difference, and the third going to a shootout. This will be the first matchup between the two teams, and the Blues will want to make a statement.

Revenge

On Wednesday, December 17, 2025, the Blues will face the Winnipeg Jets. Without a doubt, this is the game every Blues fan has been eagerly awaiting after the Jets painfully eliminated the Blues in Round 1 of last year’s playoffs. By the time both teams meet next season, they will be about halfway through their schedule and should be playing consistent hockey. This home game will be filled with bone-crushing hits and high energy. Fans should also be curious to see how the Vezina Trophy Winner handles the intensity of the Enterprise Center, assuming he gets the start.

Familiar Faces

The St. Louis Blues organization has done a great job of honoring former players, and I expect Saturday, January 3rd, 2026, to be no different, as the Blues host the Montreal Canadiens. Zack Bolduc played a key role in the Blues' trip to the playoffs last season, appearing in 72 games, scoring 19 goals, and recording 17 assists. So, it came as a surprise to many when the 22-year-old was traded to the Canadiens for D-man Logan Mailloux. While it may be hard to see Bolduc wearing a different jersey than the Blues, his talent will always be appreciated in St. Louis.

Assessing Resolve

On Friday, March 13th, 2026, the Blues will host the Edmonton Oilers for the second and final time of the season. Last season, the Oilers advanced to the Stanley Cup Final but were unable to defeat the Florida Panthers, losing the series 4–2. With elite talent like Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, the team is expected to be a Cup contender each year. These late-season home games are a great chance to assess the Blues' resolve.

Late Season Rivalry

On Tuesday, April 7th, 2026, the Enterprise Center will open its doors to the Colorado Avalanche, just two days after they meet in Colorado. This will be the final matchup of the season series. These games are always fast-paced and high-scoring. Last season, the Blues won the series 3–1; however, the Avalanche outscored the Blues 11–10.<><> Blues fans can expect the series this season to be similar, especially as the team added a second or third-line center and increased their depth.

With no shortage of storylines and a roster built to compete, these games give Blues fans no reason to leave an empty seat at the Enterprise Center.
