With the announcement of Team Canada's representatives for the Olympic Games in Italy next year, there are three St. Louis Blues players who will be partaking. Much like the 4 Nations Faceoff, goaltender Jordan Binnington and defenseman Colton Parayko will be there. But, Robert Thomas will now enter the fold, as he is one of the 26 forwards invited.
This is huge news, as both Parayko and Binnginton were huge parts of the 4 Nations games. There is a very good chance that the heated and extremely entertaining matchup between Canada and the United States will once again take center stage next season. Thomas is a great x-factor that Canada did not have last time, despite their championship win.
One name that was absent from the list of Canadian players was defenseman Cam Fowler. Despite his age and years of mediocre play in Anaheim, he had a large resurgence last season with the Blues, and that could carry on in 2025-26. This is not a final roster, but a pretty good idea.
Once Team USA announces their representatives, expect Jimmy Snuggerud to get the nod there, as well as the potential for Matthew Kessel.
