Training camp for the 2025-26 season is still a long way off as the summer continues to roll along. But, there is a good idea as to who needs to show their best in order to make a lasting impression.
These three should be on the A-game from the start of camp through the preseason.
Dalibor Dvorsky
After his NHL debut on March 25 against the Nashville Predators, Dalibor Dvorksy would not make another appearence with the Blues for the rest of last season. But, there is a very good chanec that the former first round pick can be a regular at the NHL level in 2025-26.
It all starts with a strong camp. The center position has a little bit of wiggle room, especially on the third and fourth line. Pius Suter and Brayden Schenn will duke it out for the 2C spot, and Nick Bjugstad might be seeing some competition from Dvorsky for the 4C.
Another year in Springfield won't hurt, but with the emergence and success of Jimmy Snuggerud, Dvorsky cannot afford to be forgotten about.
Justin Carbonneau
All eyes are on the newest first-round draft pick of the 2025 NHL Draft, Justin Carbonneau. There are high hopes for this kid to be all that and a bag of chips, right from his debut. Much like Snuggerud and Jordan Kyrou, he is another lethal right-handed shot on the wing.
Cabronneau has his eyes set on being a member of the Blues at some point this season. With his intention being another season in the QMJHL, there is a chance he can jump ship when their season is nearing its end to get some reps in at the end of the year.
A strong camp from him could accelerate his arrival. But, even if he stalls, there is a very likely chance that he still gets a look at NHL action in 2025-26.
Logan Mailloux
General Manager Doug Armstrong let go of a fantastic forward in Zack Bolduc to acquire Logan Mailloux. Obviously, he must have seen something special in him, so now is the time to show it.
Mailloux has to have a perfect camp, make some waves in the preseason, and get ready for third-line minutes on the defensive end for the entirety of the 2025-26 season. The Blues have a solid defensive unit, and the 22-year-old can help make it even better.
