The inside of the Enterprise Center has not been as cheerful and electric as it has been in recent years, with the lackluster performance on the ice from the St. Louis Blues. But, during the hard-fought 4-3 victory against Vegas on Friday afternoon, there was an alleviating feeling in the crowd.
There was a strong surge of support from the Blue Note faithful, and it helped charge the players up for a late-game win. The building finally felt light and free following the turbulent first half of the season. Maybe it had to do with the year flipping from 2025 to 2026.
During the game, there was a viral fan moment that swept social media. It was a nice representation of how the vibe is in the stands right now, and why this most recent win is a good sign of things to come.

What happened?
As you can see in the clip, with the comical play-by-play from both Chris Kerber and Joey Vitale of the FanDuel Sports broadcast, this Blues fan in the Dylan Holloway jersey cheesed his whole section. After receiving a souvenir puck from the ice, which was inadvertently sent into the seats, he quickly hid the puck from those around him and acted as if the puck was still rolling around under the seats of his neighbouring fans.
This was a really funny moment of the game, and kudos to him for keeping the joke going by getting up and looking under people's seats to try and knock off the scent. That would be a great story to tell his family when he got home that night.
Good vibes inside the Enterprise Center to welcome in 2026
There is a sense that this Blues team, with all of the turmoil and lackluster play shown so far in 2025-26, will turn this season around. The injuries continue to pile up, and there are still lingering issues from the beginning of the season that have yet to be fixed, but things are getting better. At least for the fans, who continue to pack into the Enterprise Center every home game with the hope and dream of a Blues win.
2026, and the second half of this season, needs to have some positive vibes from the fans. It has never gotten to the point of these faithful followers to start booing or throwing jerseys onto the ice, much like some of the other fanbases across the NHL. But the disdain and ultimate disgust with this team's failed expectations continue to sit in the minds of fans everywhere.
Can the tides be turning, when the Blues are still within earshot of the playoffs?
