The St. Louis Blues are free falling in the Central Division with a six-game losing streak. With a visit to Ohio and the Columbus Blue Jackets, the stakes are higher than usual for this one.

The team itself looked a lot better against Vancouver, when looking at the rest of the recent losing skid. There were some positives from more than just a select few players.

Those select few can be game changers for the Blues on Saturday.

Dalibor Dvorsky

After a great start to his 2025-26 campaign, Dalibor Dvorsky stepped up when he was needed the most. He must continue to do so; another game will pass without two of the top forwards of this unit, Robert Thomas and Jake Neighbours.

Dvorsky has yet to register a point in the NHL thus far, through three career games. It would be an opportune time for him to get on the board when this team needs it desperately.

Joel Hofer

The Blues have been plagued by goaltending in the early going of this season, and it is something that has to be corrected immediately. There is no room for this kind of lackluster performances from both the starting goaltender Jordan Binnington and backup Joel Hofer.

Especially Hofer, who could very well be carrying the torch from Binnington one day. The Blues front office believed that his performance last season was enough to bring him back for another two-year trial. At the moment, it looks like they might have made a mistake.

Hofer is going to get the nod in this one against Columbus, and he has to be a ton better than he has been this season. A solid outing could change a lot of people's minds on the direction of this team.

Dylan Holloway

With four points over his last five games, Dylan Holloway is starting to heat up. With the absence of two top-six forwards, it is imperative for No. 81 to start getting his legs underneath him.

Holloway has always shown that x-factor ability whenever he has the puck. His ability to drive the net and throw the body makes him such an important part of this team.
