The St. Louis Blues had a lot go wrong last season, but that wasn't all that happened. There were a couple of players that broke through all of the underwhelming performance, and made a name for themselves with their play in 2025-26.

Out of this roster, there are three that made themselves known to the masses, and each play a significant part in this franchise's future. Let's go over it.

Jimmy Snuggerud

Nobody on this Blues roster made more of an impact on the season than Jimmy Snuggerud. The young forward made a name for himself at the end of the 2024-25 campaign, by helping the Blues make that miraculous playoff push and near knockout of the Winnipeg Jets.

This past season was a direct continuation of that amazing start, and it showed on the scoresheet. With 21 goals and 31 assists for 52 points, he was incredible for the Blues. That was with missing significant time with a wrist injury that required surgery in December.

An emergence was certinaly made with No. 21.

Joel Hofer

This has been Jordan Binnington's team for the last decade. But, after a seriously underwhelming performance from No. 50 in 2025-26, it was the emergence of the back-up goaltender that nearly sent this team to the Playoffs.

Joel Hofer was following in Binnington's footsteps with some really sour performance's. He was knocked out of games after allowing seven and six goals against. But, there is another side of the story.

Only Vezina Finalist Ilya Sorokin of the New York Islanders had more shutouts than Hofer in 2025-26. No. 30 finished the season with six shutouts, and had a very respectable record of 24-13-5 with a goals against average of 2.61.

Hofer was a snub from the Vezina finalist ballot, but it was closer than it appeared.

Philip Broberg

Colton Parayko and Cam Fowler were supposed to be the top-two defenseman in 2025-26. But, both could not get out of their own way, and thus, there was another defenseman that had to step up to the plate.

Philip Broberg had such a stellar season, that it rewarded him with a new contract and participation in the 2026 Olympics for Sweden. Going forward, No. 6 is going to be the new top defensman, with hopefully, Logan Mailloux right beside him.
