The St. Louis Blues are back in action tonight against Utah. They're looking to rebound from a very tough 5-0 loss to the Avalanche on Friday night. The Blues could really use a win against Utah tonight. Here are three players to watch in tonight's matchup.
1. Dylan Holloway
Dylan Holloway has slowed down just a bit. But this is a pretty big game for the Blues, whether you think they are already out of the playoffs or not. Holloway has cemented himself in the top six this season, and I'd like to see if he can have a breakout game tonight when the Blues need it most.
He might not be the name that needs to get going the most, but he's someone that a big performance from would be helpful.
2. Pavel Buchnevich
What's going on with Buch? He's looked nothing like his normal self this year, something the Blues didn't want to hear after extending him in the offseason. He hasn't been bad per say, but his scoring is way down, and if you just watch him out there on the ice, it looks like he's lost his confidence out there.
Buchnevich could use a good game today. He hasn't scored a goal since January 9th, and it seems like he's due for one soon. But there's no doubt it's been a disappointing year for him, to say the least.
3. Colton Parayko
I'm not including Parayko on here because he's been hot or cold, but because of how atrocious the Blues defense looked on Friday without him. I mean, I think it's fair to say that Friday night might've been one of the Blues' worst defensive showings all season.
Parayko really is the backbone of this blue line. Everyone else, excluding Cam Fowler's hot start to his Blues tenure, has really cooled off. Let's hope Parayko coming back in solidifies things.
