There may not be one clear answer on who would be regarded as the best player in St. Louis Blues history. Now entering their 58th season as apart of the National Hockey League, there have been many legendary players to wear the Blue Note.

That being said, these four should be atop the Mount Rushmore of Blues.

Brett Hull

Right down the middle of this Mount Rushmore should be Brett Hull. He holds a ton of records in the Blues history books, and is regarded as one of the best players to ever play in the NHL.

In 744 games with the Blues, Hull lit the lamp 527 times and added 409 assists. A natural goal scorer throughout his career, he had his biggest success in his 11-year tenure with the Blues.

Jordan Binnington

The Blues have only been able to lift the Stanley Cup on one occasion, back in 2018-19. That was large in part due to the next member of the Blues Mount Rushmore, goaltender Jordan Binnington.

There is no other goaltender who has shown more mental toughness and activated his clutch gene more than Binnington. His 33-save masterpiece in game seven against the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup final will be recited for generations to come by Blues fans.

As of last season, Binnington set the Blues franchise record for most wins, passing Mike Liut at 151 wins, and now stands at 173 wins. Who knows how high that win total will go by the time he hangs it up?

Bernie Federko

Next on the Blues Mount Rushmore is 1976 first-round draft pick Bernie Federko. After 13 years with the Blues, he holds the record for most assists with 721 and points with 1073. He is the only player in Blues history to eclipse the 1000-point mark.

Federko was a prominent figure in the late 1970s and into the 1980s. During his tenure, the Blues made the playoffs 11 times in his 13 years. He also holds five spots on the single-season assists leaders, with 66 assists in 1983-84, 68 assists in 1985-86, 69 assists in 1987-88, and 73 assists on two occasions, in 1980-81 and 1984-85.

Adam Oates

How can you put Hull up there without adding in his centerman, Adam Oates? The dynamic duo was legendary in their time together, and their records still hold up today.

Oates has the franchise record for assists in one season, which was 90 during the 1990-91 season. That coincided with Hull's record-breaking performance of 86 goals.

Oates undoubtedly deserves to be on the Blues Mount Rushmore.
