It is Trade Deadline season, and that means rumors, rumors, and more... you guessed it, rumors. The St. Louis Blues have been hitting the airwaves with just about every insider and analyst reporting that General Manager Doug Armstrong is about have a major fire sale and nobody is safe.

We have seen rumblings about star forward Robert Thomas, as well as breakout defenseman Justin Faulk. Now, it seems like another team is sneakily pitching for the Blues' top goal-scorer over the past couple of seasons, Jordan Kyrou.

Who can it be, and can they offer enough to sway the 27-year-old winger away?

Kyrou to Long Island?

That's right, the New York Islanders are lurking in the shadows on Kyrou. According to Stefen Rosner of The Elmonters, the Isles' quick turnaround that was electrified by 2025 first overall pick, Matthew Schaefer, might be getting another stellar goal-scorer in Kyrou.

“It’s Isles GM Mathieu Darche’s job to make the calls — & I’m told he’s checked in on [Blues] stars Jordan Kyrou & Robert Thomas. Both are signed long-term with full no-trade clauses,” Rosner wrote.

The Blues are reportedly asking for a king's ransom on many of their core pieces, and that includes Kyrou. Before Armstrong hands over the keys to GM-in-waiting Alexander Steen, he wants to make sure his legacy remains a positive reminder for years to come. The Islanders are going to have to pony up to get their man, or else Armstrong will deny it even if Kyrou waives his No-Trade Clause.

Kyrou got on the scoresheet against the Seattle Kraken in their 5-1 victory on Thursday night. He now has 14 goals, 19 assists for 33 points on the season in 48 games. Over his last five games, he has three goals and six assists, including games before the Olympic break.

It is a great time for him to heat up, as the return will only get better with each positive performance prior to the March 6 Trade Deadline. Does Kyrou waive his trade clause and join the Islanders as they make a playoff push?
