The National Hockey League released its full 84-game schedule for the 2026-27 season, and the St. Louis Blues finally get to see who their first opponent is. With a later home opener slated nearly a week and change after the initial start of the year on September 29, it was anticipated that a road game was going to be first on the docket.
Here is the full schedule in all of its glory, expertly done by the fantastic Social Media team of the Blues.

Worst case scenario?
That's right, the Blues open up the season with three road games, with the first two being back-to-back on October 2 and 3. Also, each of the three opponents is a Central Division rival, with a trip to Dallas, West to Colorado, and then back Northeast toward Chicago.
This team is going to be put through its paces in the first week of the year, as the fourth opponent is the playoff-hopeful San Jose Sharks in the home opener. Of every possible scenario, this might be the most daunting, as the Blues have an uphill battle right out of the gate.
The only real saving grace here is that the Blackhawks will be without their best player, Connor Bedard, for their initial matchup. Eventually, he will heal enough to be back in the fold for the middle of the season, but the Blackhawks also made a bunch of moves this offseason to make themselves a better team in the Central Division.
Rest of schedule
The enitre 84-game gauntlet is filled with a lot of fun trends. Here are a couple to sum it all up.
Fans will enjoy the fact that 22 home games this season are on the weekend, and this team will be home for Christmas as they host the New York Rangers right after the break. They will also have their longest homestand of the year right after Thanksgiving. A lot of family time for this group.
The Blues are going to have a big hurdle to jump over to start the 2026-27 season, and it does not seem to let up for much thereafter. As we have seen in the past two seasons, they like to get hot when the season is in its final stage, but that could be accelerated this time around with a little bit easier travel around the holidays.
