The St. Louis Blues have done the complete opposite of last season and have already found themselves on an early season hotstreak. After losing on opening night in historically bad fashion, they secured back-to-back wins agasint two Pacific Division teams, the Calgary Flames and Vancouver Canucks.

Is there any chance that this win-streak can be sustainable? How much does it help the rest of the season?

Keep it going, Blues

The Blues have taken major strides since their opening night disaster, and are doing so through trial and error. Head coach Jim Montgomery went ahead and threw a little switcheroo in the top-line and the third-line, which has done wonders for this forward group.

The next couple of games are going to feature some crucial Central Division foes, as well as another Pacific Division powerhouse. The best, or worst part about it, is that they are all going to be at home.

Securing the home ice

This is going to be the most crucial stretch of the entire season. The next four games against the Chicago Blackhawks, Dallas Stars, Los Angeles Kings, and Utah Mammoth are all going to be played at the Enterprise Center.

Last season, the Blues were 24-14-3 on home ice, and that included that historic 11-game win streak at home. This season has sung a different tune, however.

Opening night, the home crowd filled into the Enterprise Center with high hopes and dreams that last season's successful season was going to transfer over to the 2025-26 campaign. The Minnesota Wild sucked all of the wind out of the place with a 5-0 steamrolling.

If the Blues want to make it back to being a successful team and continue their greatly earned two-game win streak this season, they have to learn to forget opening night. Having some rivalry games in front of the home crowd should get the squad fired up, but they have an incredible lineup ahead of them.
