With the nineteenth pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, Bleedin' Blue's final mock draft has the Blues taking center Cole Reschny. Come on down and put on your brand-new, re-branded Blue Note. This is a solid pick-up, should it actually happen on draft night.

Reschny, an 18-year-old center who has spent the last two seasons as a full-time member of the Western Hockey League's Victoria Royals, is set to take his talents to the University of North Dakota this fall. Meaning he is a bit of a ways off from joining the Blues, but it could come sooner than you think.

Over the last two seasons at the junior hockey level, Reschny played in 123 games, scoring 47 goals and adding 104 assists for a total of 151 points. That is some solid output.

His hockey IQ is one of his strong suits, and he has the ability to play on the power play and the penalty kill and excel. That will fit in perfectly for the Blues, who are actively searching for their second-line center of the future.

Grabbing Reschny opens the door to grabbing a loaner 2C for the next season of two, whilst waiting for the young prospect to be promoted from College Hockey to the NHL level. There have been reports of Dallas Stars center Mikael Granlund potentially making his way to the 'Lou, which would help that prophecy.

Would Reschny be a solid pick-up at the nineteenth pick?
