The St. Louis Blues look to get back on track with a “wild” one against the… well, Minnesota Wild. This Central Division tilt will be chock full of talent and skill on both benches.

Let’s take a look at tonight’s matchup.

Central Division throwdown

The Blues, who recently fell in their last game to Columbus, 6-4, have yet to get a leg up on the Wild this season. The Blues have their hands full at 0-2 in the first two games of this season series.

At 19-18-4, this game tonight officially starts the second half of the season. With 41 games to go, they are in fifth place in the Central Division, narrowly knocking on the door of a playoff spot. The Wild are gearing up for the playoffs, currently sitting in second place in the Central, at 25-11-4.

The story of this game is going to be the same as it has been throughout this season, can the Blues bounce back once again from a loss? Wins and losses have been equaling themselves out all season, as the Blues aren’t losing a lot of games in a row, but also not winning a bunch in a row either.

The Wild are riding a three-game win streak despite their superstar Kirill Kaprizov, who has been out with an injury for the past five games. It is unclear if he will be ready to go in this one, and that is one disadvantage the Blues need to take advantage of.

The player to watch wearing the blue and yellow sweater is going to be the team’s MVP, Jordan Kyrou. He has averaged over a point-per-game in his career versus the Wild, with 11 goals and 11 assists for 22 points in 21 games. He has been on a tear as of late, with three goals and five assists in his last six games.

Let’s see if the Blues can continue to be road warriors, as this game will take place at the Xcel Energy Center in Minnesota. The puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 PM CT.
