In the latest edition of Blues News, we recap the fallout from another overtime loss against Philadelphia as well as some other news around the NHL. Let's take a look.
Blues News
- Hunter Skinner was sent down to Springfield, and Alexandre Texier cleared waivers. Texier also joins Skinner in Springfield, but his final resolution remains to be seen.
- Blues cannot seem to find a way to win hockey games in overtime or the shootout, falling to 0-6 in those moments. Do they not have enough firepower to get it done?
- We have reached the quarter-mark of the 2025-26 Blues campaign and it has been seriously underwhelming. There are plenty of other observations to be made, but overall, this team is not getting any better as the games go along.
- There are three games remaining on this five-game road trip, with a visit to Long Island and the New York Islanders next. Can they get over the hump and secure that much needed victory against an Isles team being led by the most exciting 18-year-old in hockey, Matthew Schaefer.

- The Winnipeg Jets, who have not had nearly the same impact as they did a season ago as the Presidents' Trophy winners, now have another hurdle in front of them. Connor Hellebuyck, the reigning Hart and Vezina Trophy winner, will be out for the next four to six weeks with a knee injury resulting in surgery.
- The Buffalo Sabres, who were booed on home ice for not being able to get on the board to start the season, just put up a nine-spot on the Chicago Blackhawks. The 9-3 victory is tied for the highest amount of goals in a victory this season with the Colorado Avalanche.
