The St. Louis Blues return home to the Enterprise Center as they host the Ottowa Senators in a Friday night showdown. Buckle up, folks; this is going to be a fun one.

The Blues make a return to playing hockey indoors, as well as playing their first game of 2025. There is a ton of excitement still looming after the 6-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks in the Winter Classic.

Let's preview the game.

Blues look to stay winning

Throughout this season, consistency has been a constant problem. It has prohibited the Blues from stringing together long win streaks and thus hurt their current standing in the Central Division. If they want to catch up in January, they have to start winning a ton of games in a row.

At 18-17-4, for 40 points, the Blues remain in fifth place in the Central Division. Their opponents, the Ottowa Senators, have the same amount of points as the Blues with 40 and have a record of 19-15-2. Funny enough, they are also in fifth place in the Atlantic Division.

This is going to be a close match-up.

For the Senators, all eyes are usually on Brady Tkachuk, and for good reason. The Ottowa Captain is a superstar, with tenacity and skill all wrapped up in a nice package. He can blow the game wide open, both with his stick and his body.

On the Blues side, look for Jordan Kyrou to continue being an absolute monster. Speaking of monsters, the three-headed monster of Kyrou, Pavel Buchnevich, and Robert Thomas are all players to watch for. They showed out both in the Winter Classic and also in December as a whole.

The Puck drop will be at 8:00 PM CST.
