The St. Louis Blues and Gray Media have announced a multi-year broadcast partnership that will bring 10 select regular-season games to local over-the-air television for free. Starting Oct. 22, the newly dubbed "Thursday Night Blues" package will simulcast select Blue Note+ telecasts across Gray's new First Alert ABC (Channel 32 in St. Louis) as well as 10 additional regional markets across the team's five-state territory.
"Our priority in building a robust distribution strategy for Blue Note+ was to provide our fans with wide access and multiple viewing options that would enable them to watch Blues hockey on their preferred platform," said Chris Zimmerman, Blues President and CEO of Business Operations.
The new arrangement opens up across to more than 4.8 million households, offically doubling the number of free over-the-air broadcasts from a year ago. Beyond thelive game broadcasts, the new partnership will also bring back the fan-favorite Blues Weekly show and regular Blues segments on KMOV's First Alert 4 news, keeping fans connected all week long.
