The Olympics quarterfinal round for the Men's side just got off to an electrifying start. Slovakia took care of business against Germany, winning 6-2.
One of the reasons why they were able to safely secure the victory this morning, and have such an incredible run during this tournament, is thanks to one St. Louis Blues rising star. Dalibor Dvorsky is setting the world hockey stage ablaze, and inking his name in the record books while he is at it.
WIth three goals and three assists for six points, he sets a rookie record in a single Olympic tournament. Additionally, he has more points than any other St. Louis Blues player to represent their country in the Olympics.

Dalibor Dvorsky's six points (3g, 3a) is the most ever by an @NHL rookie in a single Olympic tournament.
It is also the most by any St. Louis Blues player in a single Olympic tournament.#MilanoCortina2026 x #WinterOlympics x #stlblues pic.twitter.com/OiLc7LixwK
Ahead of elite company
This kid has been crushing the competition. Dvorsky is rocking his home nation's colors and putting on quite a show. His goal in the contest with Germany this morning was a lethal snapshot that proves his ability to be the next great goal-scorer in the Blues future plans.
When looking at all of the Blues players that have played for their home countries in the Olympics, and their point totals, it is an impressive list. Brett Hull, Chris Pronger, Keith Tkachuk, David Backes, Vladimir Tarasenko, and T.J. Oshie highlight a solid list of players. But, none of them scored more points in an entire Olympic tournament than Dvorsky, and the 20-year-old did it in his first go-around.
Can he take Slovakia all the way?
The 1-2 punch of Dvorsky and Montreal Canadiens forward Juraj Slafkovsky has been a driving force for this Slovakia team as they advance to the Semifinals. Now, they await their next opponent, which is to be determined later today.
There is still a lot of good competition left, with Team Canada and the USA still amongst the final teams. This is Canada's tournament to lose, with the only questionable mark on their record being the goaltending of Blues goalie Jordan Binnington.
Dvorsky can continue to expand on his record-setting performance. The sky is the limit for this kid, and he should come back to the Blues with some newfound confidence.
