Today is the last day that NHL teams can make trades, and after 3 PM EST, the St. Louis Blues' future will just about be decided. In hockey insider Frank Seravalli's final trade board, there are six Blues on his list of the top 50 players.

That includes the top spot, which makes today all the more special. The rest of Blues on the list you can probably guess, as there names have been circulating the news all week long.

Faulk highlights the list

Blues defenseman Justin Faulk highlights the list of 50 best players most likely to be traded today. He has been linked to several teams this week, with Buffalo and Detroit being the heaviest suitors. There is a very good chance that No. 72 ends up there and helps either one of those two teams make a deep run in the Eastern Conference.

Star center Robert Thomas is at the 20th spot, followed by center Oskar Sundqvist at 22, and then goaltender Jordan Binnington at 25. Binnington is the third-highest goalie on this list, behind Stuart Skinner in Pittsburgh and Sergei Bobrovsky in Florida.

Blues' captain Brayden Schenn is ranked 31, and then star winger Jordan Kyrou rounds out the list at 44. That is a lot of players for such a mediocre and lackluster record for the 2025-26 Blues.

With the Colton Parayko trade to Buffalo now voided, the focus is now on Faulk and where he lands. Blues General Manager Doug Armstrong is going to do everything in his power to at least get something back for one or both of his highly sought-after blue liners.

There is no question that this current roster cannot be sustained, and changes have to be made. The Blues have to sell this roster off, and get back as much as possible to bring in the next era of Blues hockey. The rebuild era.
