An Early Look at the St. Louis Blues Pre-Season Schedule
There are many questions to be answered for the Blues as we approach the 2024-25 season…will we get the answers in the pre-season? We’ll start the process in less than 2 weeks with Camp opening up September 19th and their first game 2 days later.
There are seven pre-season games on tap for the Blues and the first game on September 21st will be against their rival; the Dallas Stars on enemy ice. The Stars are coming off another strong season and will be once again be a team in contention in the division. This should be a good first test for what feels like a new look Blues team with a rematch on October 3rd at home to come.
Of course, it will be interesting to see how many of the new faces the Blues added in the off-season will play significant minutes in the pre-season. Let’s hope that the latest Doug Armstrong acquisitions from Edmonton see a good percentage of time – Philip Broberg and Dylan Holloway – they hopefully be great positive additions to the team.
There are several young players to be excited about…did anyone say Dalibor Dvorsky and the Zach/k’s (Zack Bolduc and Zach Dean? Still their playing time may be reduced with the six newly added players on the roster who all should bring fresh energy and skills. Players like Radek Faska, Ryan Suter, Alexandre Texier, Mathieu and brother Pierre-Oliver Joseph, and the aforementioned Broberg and Holloway. These players still have to prove they belong on the final roster. We also need to see where they fall as far as line make-up for the forwards and on defense.
Who's going to replace the Tory Krug minutes? Does Perunovich and Kessel stick for the entire year? Does Armstrong have another deal up his sleeve? When does Sunquist return and whose minutes does he take?
Here is a list of each pre-season game, with of the games at home and two games on neutral sites. Love that there are two games against the rival Blackhawks! LET’S GO BLUES!
