The St. Louis Blues hold the 16th pick in the 2024 NHL Draft.

In a recent mock draft, Beckett Sennecke from Toronto, Canada, has been linked to the St. Louis Blues.

Beckett Sennecke

He has a nice combination of size and strength, brings a heavy shot, plays a 200-foot game and has a solid work ethic. The right-handed shot had 68 points (27 goals, 41 assists), seven power-play goals and was tied for eighth in the OHL with seven game-winning goals. He tied for fourth with 10 goals in 16 games during the playoffs," wrote Mike Morreale.

Sennecke’s OHL numbers look impressive in the last two years in regular season play:

2022-23: 61 games, 20 goals, 35 assists, 55 points.
2023-24: 63 games, 27 goals, 41 assists, 68 points.

With increases in goals and assists, Sennecke is a promising prospect.

In the 2023-24 playoffs, Sennecke notched 10 goals and 12 assists, accumulating 22 points across 16 games.

Listed at 6’2”, 175 lbs, he has the height to make him a dominant force on the ice. He has the potential to further train and increase his strength.

“Sennecke’s an ankle-breaking winger who combines deft playmaking, manipulation, powerful net drives, and puck-thievery skills to control the game. He’s an overwhelmingly confident puckhandler, grounded in solid technique with an unlocked top arm and fast-twitch hands. As a playmaker, he manipulates opponents, works the give-and-go, identifies the right play, and connects with perfectly weighted passes, no matter the obstacle,” shared Elite Prospects.

Being such a young skater at 18, the logic stands that Sennecke could very well be one of the most talented prospects in the first round. Should the St. Louis Blues have the opportunity to select him at the 16th spot, GM Doug Armstrong might not hesitate to choose this skater.

His ability to score goals coupled with his exceptional speed make him a highly promising prospect.
