Later on this morning, the United States and Canada will be going head-to-head in the most anticipated hockey game of all time. It is for the Gold Medal at the 2026 Olympics in Milan, and there is no bigger story in sports right now than this game.

It is so impactful that states like New York and the Ontario area in Canada are opening up Liquor distributors to fans at 6 AM EST to get ready to enjoy this game. That doesn't even happen for much "bigger" events like the Super Bowl in the NFL.

Even though the St. Louis Blues fans are primarily based in the United States, there are two reasons why this passionate fanbase have to root for the team north of the border. Both Jordan Binnington and Colton Parayko will be headlining a very strong Canadian team, as they look to repeat the history made at the Four Nations Face-off.

Let's go over some recent Blues news.

Blues News

Rumors are starting to fly around this Blues team, for multiple players. Most notably, Jordan Kyrou, and the one thing that hinges upon him in the anticipation that he will be traded at the Trade Deadline on March 6.

Even with how horrific the defensive unit has been for the Blues this season, there has been one bright light from the group. It is even not too farfetched to say that this player has been the best player on this entire team this season, and it isn't even close. Philip Broberg is that defenseman, and his performance for the Blues, and for Sweden in the Olympics, spark a high-ceiling for his future.

Binnington has a big game today. And in those big games, he usually lives up to the challenge and conquers whatever stands in his way. When he returns to the Blues, however, this game that catapults his career into a near Hall of Fame category might be the final nail in the coffin that is his tenure with the Blues. Could we see No. 50's trade value rise and ultimately lead to him being moved before the Trade Deadline?
