The 2026 World Championships are off to a fantastic start, and the five St. Louis Blues that are participating are also enjoying strong performances. Going back to the Olympics earlier this year, it really seems to me that this group of players likes to represent their home countries.
We all saw the masterful snipe by Dylan Holloway for Team Canada in their opening game against Sweden, which was then followed up by a goal from Pius Suter for Switzerland. Now, Holloway got back on the scoresheet once again with another fantastic goal.
This time against Italy, Holloway went to the one place where good things usually happen, toward the crease, and tipped in his second goal of the tournament.
Good things happen when you go to the net! 😃

Holloway joins Team Canada captain and San Jose Sharks sensation Macklin Celebrini with three points for the tournament. Fellow Blues forward Robert Thomas has one assist thus far.
Suter, for Switzerland, has a goal and an assist for two points, and Oskar Sundqvist for Sweden has yet to register a point and is a -2 so far. Blues' goaltending prospect Love Harenstam has yet to suit up for Sweden, but he may see some action soon.
The Blues Olympic stars, specifically Dalibor Dvorsky for Slovakia, were fantastic in that big tournament. That has translated over to the World Championships, and that is a great sign for the 2026-27 season.
It is a great sign that these players who were hot at the end of the 2025-26 season for the Blues have carried it over weeks later. Now, can they carry it over for the rest of this World Championships session and then to next season?
