The St. Louis Blues took it to the severely underhanded Minnesota Wild on Monday, winning 6-3. It was nice to see a full-team effort, but with the season unofficially over, it was all for naught.
Well, kind of. As there was a piece by The Athletic that was run yesterday that showcased the Top 100 prospects in the National Hockey League right now, it might have been missing one more name.
There were four players on the Blues roster that were listed, and each deservedly so. But who was left out?
Let's talk about it.
Otto Stenberg
Out of the best 100 prospects across the entire NHL, there is no way that Otto Stenberg was left off of this list. Especially with the kind of season he just had, plus the media circus that is about to engulf his entire family in the next month or so.
Stenberg, who was drafted by the Blues in the first round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, has been stellar wth the Blues in his limited time this season. With three goals and seven assists for 10 points, he was steady and consistent in the 32 games he played so far in 2025-26. He adapted to the Blues' playstyle, and has shown some necessary aggression and grit.
These upcoming months are going to be a bit of a circus for the Stenberg family. Otto is starting to take into his own as an NHLer, but there is another Stenberg about to make his emergence into the NHL landscape. Ivar, who is projected to go second-overall behind Gavin McKenna, is going to be playing either against or with his brother in 2026-27.
If you want to talk about fuel, and lighting fires under someone, imagine being the first of the siblings to be selected to the NHL, but upstaged by your little brother who has yet to be selected. That right there is reason enough to put the Blues prospect, Stenberg, onto this exclusive list of tomorrow's great players.
