These three players have the coolest nicknames in Blues history

There have been some legendary players to wear the St. Louis Blues uniform. Over 58 seasons, 26 Hall of Famers have come and gone through the two iconic venues that have held Blues games.

You hear about these crazy nicknames for players, and some come from fans but most come from the guys talking in the locker room. Here are three of the greatest nicknames as apart of the Blues organization.

Brett "The Golden Brett" Hull

Honoring his father, Bobby "The Golden Jet" Hull, Brett Hull had the nickname of "The Golden Brett" in his tenure with the Blues. One of the best players in NHL history, and certinaly the greatest of all time to wear the Blue Note, Hull was a generational talent.

Curtis "Cujo" Joseph

From 1989 to 1995, Curtis Joseph was the goaltender for the Blues. Drawing inspiration from Stephen King's novel, Cujo, he adapted that nickname using the letters in his name and also paid homage with his goalie masks.

The newest member of the Blues Hall of Fame, Joseph had a record of 137-96-34 in 280 games. His 454 wins during his career are still the seventh-most in NHL history.

Wayne "The Great One" Gretzky

Even though he had a very limited and short stint with the Blues, Wayne Gretzky has the greatest nickname of all time. He is the one and only "Great One".

In 1995-96, Gretzky was traded from the Los Angeles Kings and only appeared in 18 games. The greatest scorer of all time was still a point-per-game player with eight goals and 13 assists to finish off the regular season. He also appeared in all 13 of the playoff games, contributing a set of goals and 14 assists.
