We are in the most outrageous and unhinged time of the year. It is time for the NHL Draft on June 27 and June 28, and then the start of Free Agency on July 1. Buckle up, folks, it has already started to get crazy.

There are many interesting storylines for the St. Louis Blues over the next week or so. As they hope to improve this team even further, potentially making another appearance in the Stanley Cup playoffs next season, there are rumors flying all over the internet. There is one rumor that is making a legitimate claim, and it involves one of the Blues' superstars.

Could Jordan Kyrou be on the move prior to draft night?

Is it the right move?

Since his emergence with the Blues in the 2018-19 season, Kyrou has been a rising star. He is not entering his prime years, but there is one kicker attached to his contract. Starting on July 1, there is a no-trade clause that kicks in, making him a Blue until his contract runs out in 2031-32. It is not a terrible thing, as Kyrou just had another 30+ goal season for the third-straight year and has hit 70+ points for the third time over the last four years.

But if things go south over the next six seasons, the Blues could be stuck with an $8.125 million AAV hindrance. There is also the fact that some teams are looking for his caliber, and they might be willing to give up exactly what the Blues need.

Take the New York Islanders and Noah Dobson, for example. The Isles need an offensive threat like Kyrou, and the Blues could really use Dobson, an up-and-coming defenseman with elite-level skills. Would be a fair trade, 1-for-1, but is it worth it?

That is only something that time can tell, but the Blues have little time to discuss it. July 1 is coming fast, and the decision with Kyrou is going to have serious implications on the next couple of seasons.

Do you think Kyoru get's moved before draft night?
